Asylum applications and refugees in Croatia2,460 asylum applications by refugees were received in 2021 in Croatia — according to UNHCR. Most of them came from Afghanistan, Iraq and from Iran. A total of 275 decisions have been made on initial applications. Around 25% of them were answered positively. 75 percent of asylum applications have been rejected in the first instance. The most successful have been the applications of refugees from Syria and from Serbia.
