The ALBA is a trade agreement that currently consists of nine countries mainly located in the Caribbean and South America.
All member states comprise a total area of 2.51 million km² and about 76.63 million people. This is 1.66 percent of the habitable area around the world and 0.97 percent of the world population. With an economic output of 272.56 billion US dollars annually, they represent around 0.28 percent of the global economy. The value of all exported goods from these nine countries was 49.10 billion US dollars per year at last count.
