Geography
Dominica is an island state in the Caribbean Sea between Guadeloupe and Martinique. The dwarf state has a total area of only 750 km² (290 mi²) and a total coastline of 148 km (92.0 mi). This land area is about 1.0 times the size of New York City. Dominica is thus the 20th smallest country in the Americas and ranked 192nd in the world.The highest mountain peak (Morne Diablotins) is at 1,447 meters. Dominica has no direct neighbors. The distance between New York City and the Capital Roseau is about 3,080 km (1,914 mi).
