Development of telephone and internet connectionsWith an average download speed of 3.0 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Syria ranked 178th in an international comparison. The upload rate was 3.0 Mbit/second (170th place).
In mobile internet, i.e. on tablets and smartphones, Syria comes 120th with a download speed of 12.45 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 7 Mbit was only enough for 126th place.

All fixed connections via DSL, cable or satellite were counted here, but not those connected to the Internet via mobile communications.
