Sunrise and sunset in Vietnam
Sunrise today: 5:16 h
Sunset today: 18:29 h
(Times for Hanoi)Sunset today: 18:29 h
Times for sunrise and sunset in Vietnam won't differ much all over the year. The reason is the only fair proximity to the equator. So in summer the sun moves slightly to the north and in the winter slightly back to south, but without much change in the distance. E.g. in the Nordic countries of Europe the difference is much more extreme.
With up to approximately 13:30 hours the longest days happen to be in June. In December a night in Hanoi lasts almost 14 hours.
Who wants to look at the sunrise in these days, has to wake up early. Sunrise in Hanoi starts already at 5:16 in the morning. The Sunset can currently be watched at about 18:29 Uhr in the early evening.

Where does the sun rise in Vietnam?
The sun always rises in the east, everywhere and regardless of the country or continent. The easternmost city in Vietnam is Tuy Hòa in Region Southern coastal strip. There, the sun rises at 5:15 am and sets at 6:02 pm these days. The latest sunset is currently experienced in the west in the city of Dien Bien Phu (Northwest) at 6:41 pm.Duration of the sunset
The distance from the equator and the path of the sun determines not only the time of sunrise and sunset. The farther a country is from the equator, the more oblique the sun's path is to the horizon. And this causes a different duration that a sunset takes. Hanoi lies on the 21st degree of northern latitude and is therefore quite far away from the equator. While a sunset near the equator only lasts about 20 minutes, in Vietnam this period averages 24 minutes. In June, it's about 25 minutes in Hanoi, while in December it's 24 minutes.International cities for comparison
