Under the country code +1809, there were a total of 78,431 connections in 2020. Among them were 75,771 mobile phones, which corresponds to an average of 1.1 per person. In the EU, this figure is 1.2 mobile phones per person.
In the expansion of broadband Internet connections, Dominica is back. Around 70% of all residents have access to the Internet. Approximately 16% have their own fast Internet connection, which is at least faster than the previous ISDN (more than 2048 kbit/s).

Development of telephone and internet connectionsWith an average download speed of 34.90 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Dominica ranked 106th in an international comparison. The upload rate was only 19.93 Mbit/second (107th place). The quality of the Internet, consisting of signal fluctuations (jitter) and latency, is very far ahead at 25th place.
In mobile internet, i.e. on tablets and smartphones, Dominica comes th with a download speed of 0 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 0 Mbit was enough for th place.
