Telecommunication in the Bahamas

The development of telecommunications in the Bahamas is roughly equivalent to the United States. Under the country code +1-242, there were a total of 557,000 connections in 2021. With an average download speed of 43.58 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Bahamas rank 94th in an international comparison. The upload rate of only 9.7 Mbit/second was significantly lower (130th place).
