Birth and death rate in the Federated States of Micronesia
Population growth is the result of the birth rate, the mortality rate and the migration rate. For example, the year 2021 in the graph: The population in Micronesia increased by about 1,030 inhabitants. In the same year, the death rate was 6.2 per 1,000 people (~ 700 deaths) and the birth rate was 20.8 per 1,000 people (~ 2,330 births). As a result, around 600 inhabitants have migrated to other countries.Over the past 10 years, the number of average deaths per year was 626 in Micronesia. The number of births was 2,389 annually.
