In the expansion of broadband Internet connections, Moldova is back. Around 76% of all residents have access to the Internet. Approximately 25% have their own fast Internet connection, which is at least faster than the previous ISDN (more than 2048 kbit/s).

Development of telephone and internet connectionsWith an average download speed of 104.98 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Moldova ranked 37th in an international comparison. The upload rate was only 88.79 Mbit/second (23rd place). The quality of the Internet, consisting of signal fluctuations (jitter) and latency, is very far ahead at 18th place.
In mobile internet, i.e. on tablets and smartphones, Moldova comes 62nd with a download speed of 36.05 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 13 Mbit was enough for 72nd place.
