Development of telephone and internet connections
With an average download speed of 101.08 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Qatar ranked 42nd in an international comparison. The upload rate was only 53.90 Mbit/second (36th place). The quality of the Internet, consisting of signal fluctuations (jitter) and latency, is very far ahead at 18th place.In mobile internet, i.e. on tablets and smartphones, Qatar comes 2nd with a download speed of 171.15 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 26 Mbit was enough for 3rd place.
