Development of inflation rates in Bangladesh

The inflation rate in Germany moved over the past years between 2.0% and 10.7%. For 2016, an inflation rate of 5.5% was calculated.

During the observation period from 1987 to 2016, the average inflation rate was 6.5% per year. Overall, the price increase was 524.31 %. An item that cost 100 Taka in 1986 was 2016 so charged 624.31 Taka.

In only a very few countries, the price increase is that high. The rate of 10.7% in 2011 means, that compared to the previous year all prices have been increased by an average of 10.7%. In comparison to other countries, the drastic price increases are no longer on average. Usually this is a sign of political and economic turmoil.
