Birth and death rate in Norway
Population growth is the result of the birth rate, the mortality rate and the migration rate. For example, the year 2020 in the graph: The population in Norway increased by about 31,600 inhabitants. In the same year, the death rate was 7.5 per 1,000 people (~ 40,100 deaths) and the birth rate was 9.8 per 1,000 people (~ 52,400 births). As a result, around 19,300 inhabitants have to be added by migration from other countries.Over the past 10 years, the number of average deaths per year was 40,932 in Norway. The number of births was 57,541 annually.
