Internet speed for cell phones and fixed network
With an average download speed of 76.64 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Austria ranks 59th in an international comparison. The upload rate of only 19.36 Mbit/second was significantly lower (97th place).In mobile internet, i.e., on tablets and smartphones, Austria comes 26th with a download speed of 76.32 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 15 Mbit was enough for 22nd place.

Every year, the International Telecommunication Union calculates for many countries what a mobile phone contract costs to use. A monthly budget averaging US$ 9.90 was calculated Austria in 2021.
