Development of inflation rates in Kyrgyzstan
The inflation rate for consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan moved over the past 23 years between 0.4% and 37.0%. For 2019, an inflation rate of 1.1% was calculated.
During the observation period from 1996 to 2019, the average inflation rate was 10.6%
per year. Overall, the price increase was 829.93 %. An item that cost 100 Som in 1996 was so charged 929.93 Som in the beginning of 2020.
In only a very few countries, the price increase is that high. The rate of 37.0% in 1999 means, that compared to the previous year all prices have been increased by an average of 37.0%.
