Development of inflation rates in Cyprus
The inflation rate in Germany moved over the past years between -2.1% and 6.5%. For 2016, an inflation rate of -1.4% was calculated.
During the observation period from 1991 to 2016, the average inflation rate was 2.6%
per year. Overall, the price increase was 88.56 %. An item that cost 100 Euro in 1990 was 2016 so charged 188.56 Euro.
In only a few countries negative inflation rates are achieved. This means that the general price level is declining and consumer prices get cheaper.
