Birth- and deathrate in the Bahamas
Population growth is the result of the birth rate, the mortality rate and the migration rate. The example of the year 2019 in the graph: The population in the Bahamas increased by about 3,850 inhabitants. In the same year, the death rate was 6.8 per 1000 people (~ 2,640 deaths) and the birth rate was 13.9 per 1000 people (~ 5,350 births). As a result, around 1,140 inhabitants have to be added by migration from other countries.Over the past 10 years, the number of average deaths per year was 2,489 in the Bahamas. The number of births was 5,346 annually.
