Birth- and deathrate in Guatemala
Population growth is the result of the birth rate, the mortality rate and the migration rate. The example of the year 2020 in the graph: The population in Guatemala increased by about 254,000 inhabitants. In the same year, the death rate was 4.7 per 1000 people (~ 78,100 deaths) and the birth rate was 23.9 per 1000 people (~ 396,000 births). As a result, around 63,900 inhabitants have migrated to other countries.Over the past 10 years, the number of average deaths per year was 75,908 in Guatemala. The number of births was 399,039 annually.
