Birth- and deathrate in Senegal
Population growth is the result of the birth rate, the mortality rate and the migration rate. The example of the year 2020 in the graph: The population in Senegal increased by about 448,000 inhabitants. In the same year, the death rate was 5.5 per 1000 people (~ 89,300 deaths) and the birth rate was 33.4 per 1000 people (~ 545,000 births). As a result, around 7,700 inhabitants have migrated to other countries.Over the past 10 years, the number of average deaths per year was 90,435 in Senegal. The number of births was 530,653 annually.
