The Mercosur is a trade agreement that currently consists of four countries in South America.
All member states comprise a total area of 11.88 million km² and about 270.27 million people. This is 7.9 percent of the habitable area around the world and 3.4 percent of the world population. With an economic output of 2.195 trillion US dollars annually, they represent around 2.3 percent of the global economy. The value of all exported goods from these four countries was 501.35 billion US dollars per year at last count.
