Greater Arab Free Trade Area
The GAFTA is a trade agreement of currently 18 countries in Western Asia and in Northern Africa.
All member states comprise a total area of 11.46 million km² and about 413.68 million people. This is 7.6% of the habitable area around the world and 5.3% of the world population. With an economic output of 2,434.52 billion US dollars annually, they represent around 2.9 percent of the global economy. The value of all exported goods of these 18 countries was 589.89 billion US dollars per year at last count.
