Norfolk Daylight Time (NFDT)
The NFDT is the daylight saving time (also called summertime) of the Norfolk Time (NFT). The differences of the several time zones to each other are always specified in relation to the "Universal Time Coordinated" (UTC), the time on the prime meridian (zero longitude). New York, for example, is on the 74th degree of longitude west and thus in the UTC-5 time zone. In the summer the clocks are switched ahead by 1 hour. The Norfolk Daylight Time is consistent with UTC +12 and applies only to Norfolk Island.
