DST on Norfolk Island

Norfolk Daylight Time (NFDT)

The NFDT is the daylight saving time (also called summertime) of the Norfolk Time (NFT). The differences between time zones to each other are always specified in relation to the "Universal Time Coordinated" (UTC), the time on the prime meridian (zero longitude). New York, for example, is on the 74th degree of longitude west and thus in the UTC-5 time zone. In the summer, the clocks are moved ahead by 1 hour.
Norfolk Daylight Time is consistent with UTC +12 and applies only to Norfolk Island.

Current NFDT time:
Thursday, November 24, 2022

Although the timezone is named "Norfolk Daylight Time", it is mostly forpolitcal reasons. It simply means that, e.g., the beginning and ending of daylight savings time always apply here uniformly. There are some other countries, in which the clock strikes the same hour. These countries have the same temporal distance to UTC (Universal Time Coordinated):
