Belarusian speaking countries

Belarusian is one out of two official languages in Belarus and is spoken in 4 other countries as monther tongue by a part of the population. The Belarusian language (native name: беларуская мова) has its roots in the Indo-European language family.

As a percentage of the total population, the largest share of around 23 percent is in Belarus. A total of about 3.0 million people worldwide speak Belarusian as their mother tongue.
