Timezones and time changes in Ukraine

There are several timezones in Ukraine. Countries with a large distance from West to East are often devided into two or more timezones to adjust daytimes to the position of the sun. Timezones are always computed relatively to UTC, the "Universal Time Coordinated".

In Ukraine exists a time difference of 1 hour between the East and the West. Like in most parts of the USA, there is a distinction in Ukraine drawn between standard time and daylight saving time (also called winter time and summer time), but this distiction is not nationwide. 3 regions put the clocks forward by 1 hour in summer. 1 region keeps the standard time year-round.

The next clock change in Kiev will be on October 31st, 2021 at 4:00 to standard time.
