
Telecommunication in Ukraine
Compared to the United States, Ukraine has a slight downturn in the development of telecommunications. Under the country code +380, there were a total of 58.21 million connections in 2021. Among them were 55.93 million mobile phones, which corresponds to an average of 1.3 per person. In the US, this figure is 1.1 mobile phones per person.With about 2.17 million webhosts, Ukraine is below the world's average by population. At the end of 2020, 395,092 of these, or about 18 percent, were secured with SSL or comparable encryption.

Development of telephone and internet connections
With an average download speed of 60.03 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Ukraine ranks 66th in an international comparison. The upload rate was 63.37 Mbit/second (29th place).In mobile internet, i.e., on tablets and smartphones, Ukraine comes 128th with a download speed of 11.97 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 8 Mbit was enough for 117th place.
