The highest daytime temperatures on the Cocos Islands are reached in February with an average of 30.5 °C. The coldest month, on the other hand, is August, with an average of just 28.2 °C. In Germany, July is the warmest month, with 24.0 °C. There, it is coolest in January with an average of 3.4 °C.

The greatest amount of rain (hail or dew are also forms of precipitation) on the Cocos Islands occurs in April, when about 9.7 liters per square meter fall per day. If you consider that there are only 14.5 rainy days on the Cocos Islands in April, each of them accounts for about 19.9 liters.

The length of a day varies throughout the year and depends on the distance from the equator. In June, the day on the Cocos Islands is only 11.5 hours long. In December, on the other hand, it is 12.9 hours. In Germany, it is 8.1 hours in December and 16.6 in June.
