Development of inflation rates in South Korea
The inflation rate in Germany moved over the past years between 0.7% and 9.3%. For 2016, an inflation rate of 1.0% was calculated.
During the observation period from 1991 to 2016, the average inflation rate was 3.7%
per year. Overall, the price increase was 148.93 %. An item that cost 100 Won in 1990 was 2016 so charged 248.93 Won.
As the price increases are consistently in the positive range, this means that goods and services in the country have become increasingly more expensive over the years. In comparison to other countries, the drastic price increases are no longer on average. Usually this is a sign of political and economic turmoil.Back to overview: South Korea
