(Times for Singapore)

Times for sunrise and sunset in Singapore won't differ much all over the year. The reason is the only fair proximity to the equator. So in summer the sun moves slightly to the north and in the winter slightly back to south, but without much change in the distance. E.g. in the Nordic countries of Europe the difference is much more extreme.

With up to approximately 12:10 hours the longest days happen to be in June. In December a night in Singapore lasts almost 12 hours.

In these days the sun in Singapore rises at 6:55. The Sunset can currently be watched at about 19:08 Uhr in the early evening.

Duration of the sunset

The distance from the equator and the path of the sun determines not only the time of sunrise and sunset. The farther a country is from the equator, the more oblique the sun's path is to the horizon. And this causes a different duration that a sunset takes. Singapore lies on the 1st degree of northern latitude and thus very close to the equator. While a sunset in the northern USA or central Europe can take almost an hour, in Singapore it only lasts an average of 23 minutes. Singapore is so close to the equator that there is no noticeable difference even between June and December.
