Development of inflation rates in Qatar
The inflation rate for consumer prices in Qatar moved over the past 38 years between -4.9% and 15.1%. For 2018, an inflation rate of 0.3% was calculated.
During the observation period from 1980 to 2018, the average inflation rate was 3.6%
per year. Overall, the price increase was 272.86 %. An item that cost 100 Rial in 1980 was so charged 372.86 Rial in the beginning of 2019.
In only a few countries negative inflation rates are achieved. This means that the general price level is declining and consumer prices get cheaper.
