Corruption in Malaysia
The "Corruption Perceptions Index" for the public sector showed 51 points in Malaysia for 2016. The scale has a range from 0 to 100, in which corruption raises, the higher the number is. With this result Malaysia ranks 56th. So, compared to other countries it is slightly below average.
Compared to the previous year, in 2016 the level of corruption slightly raised. In the long term, it has nevertheless declined moderately in recent years.
The ranking is led by Denmark with a value of 10. The sad last place is occupied by Somalia (90 points).

. For 2016 a total of 176 countries of all continents have been surveyed. The original "Corruption Perceptions Index" gives numbers from 0 to 100, where 100 ist the worst index (contrariwise here). The official value for Malaysia is given as 49 points in 2016. Therefore it would be a Anti-Corruption Index instead of a Corruption Index. For better clarity and an easier optical view of the graphs, these numbers were inverted here.
