Mérida is one of the coldest regions in Venezuela with an average daily high temperature of only 30 degrees centigrade. High humidity and high temperatures are making the weather pleasant at times, but also and partly tropical hot and humid. It is yearlong warm or hot. Dued to the lesser rain the best time for traveling is from January to February. Most precipitation decrease from May to November.
