With an average download speed of 11.15 Mbit/second for fixed-network broadband internet, Suriname ranks 142nd in an international comparison. The upload rate of only 3.0 Mbit/second was significantly lower (169th place).
In mobile internet, i.e., on tablets and smartphones, Suriname comes 42nd with a download speed of 46.09 Mbit/second. The upload speed of around 19 Mbit was enough for 10th place.
