Temperature records of the last 35 yearsThe hottest temperature measured from 1986 to June 2021 was reported by the Princess Juliana Airp weather station. In September 2020 the record temperature of 34.2 °C was reported here. The hottest summer from July to September was recorded in 1991 with an average temperature of 29.6 °C. This average temperature will normally be measured every 4 to 6 hours, thus also including the nights. Normally, this value is 28.7 degrees Celsius.
The coldest day in these 35 years was reported by the weather station Princess Juliana Airp. Here the temperature dropped to 13.8 °C in February 2016. Princess Juliana Airp lies at an altitude of 4 meters above sea level. The coldest winter (January to March) was in 2008 with an average temperature of 24.5 °C. In Saint Martin, it is usual to have about 1.1 degrees more at 25.7 °C for this three-month period.
The most precipitation fell in November 1999. With 20.0 mm per day, the Princess Juliana Airp weather station recorded the highest monthly average of the last 35 years.
