The "Corruption Perceptions Index" for the public sector showed 65 points in Niger for 2016. The scale has a range from 0 to 100, in which corruption raises, the higher the number is. With this result Niger ranks 102nd. So, compared to other countries it is slightly below average.
Compared to the previous year, in 2016 the level of corruption decreased a bit. In the long term, it has also declined moderately in recent years.
The ranking is led by Denmark with a value of 10. The sad last place is occupied by Somalia (90 points).

. For 2016 a total of 176 countries of all continents have been surveyed. The original "Corruption Perceptions Index" gives numbers from 0 to 100, where 100 ist the worst index (contrariwise here). The official value for Niger is given as 35 points in 2016. Therefore it would be a Anti-Corruption Index instead of a Corruption Index. For better clarity and an easier optical view of the graphs, these numbers were inverted here.
