With this result Guinea-Bissau ranks 171st. So, compared to other countries it is considerably below the average.
Compared to the previous year, in 2017 the level of corruption decreased a bit. In the long term, it has nevertheless risen moderately in recent years.
The ranking is led by New Zealand with a value of 11. The sad last place is occupied by Somalia (91 points).

. For 2017 a total of 180 countries of all continents have been surveyed. The original "Corruption Perceptions Index" gives numbers from 0 to 100, where 100 ist the worst index (contrariwise here). The official value for Guinea-Bissau is given as 17 points in 2017. Therefore it would be a Anti-Corruption Index instead of a Corruption Index. For better clarity and an easier optical view of the graphs, these numbers were inverted here.
